Happy Valentine’s Day
Today we celebrate our love for our special someones, a significant other, spouse, life partner. It is good that we do this as we can get complacent in having them around all the time and taking them for granted.
I would like to suggest that today, and perhaps more often, we remember those we care about deeply but who are not romantic partners in our life. It never hurts to tell someone that you love and appreciate them. Remember for many this ‘holiday’ is as depressing as the Christmas holidays. Everyone gathers with families and friends but for them it is only loneliness and depression.
Perhaps we could all use a reminder to be a bit kinder, compassionate,
considerate and sharing with our love more often. It has been about 6 weeks since the Christmas holidays and we are all stuck in the deepest of the cold winter season. A little more love and light-heartedness would be a welcome comfort for all of us.
So lets share the love with not just our partners but all of the special people in our lives.
